The StreetSmart App is a civic-tech platform designed to help unhoused and low-income individuals improve their financial stability. Leveraging artificial intelligence, it offers real-time budgeting, income forecasting, and benefit optimization tailored to users' unique situations.
At its core is TheXDesk, a backend system that integrates with municipal and public services to provide seamless access to support networks. The app also features secure digital document storage, helping users easily manage IDs and benefit paperwork. By connecting users to nearby shelters, job centers, and food pantries, StreetSmart ensures timely assistance.
Supported by mentorship from internet pioneer Vint Cerf and partnerships with leading universities, the app bridges technology and social services to empower vulnerable communities toward greater independence and lasting impact.
